Involvement in Coaching:

Having spent several years as an active gymnast, I started as a helper at Leeds Esprit at the age of 14, completing my Core Proficiency Award at the same time. I have continued as a volunteer coach and gained my level 1 coaching qualification at the age of 16.

I thoroughly enjoy working with our younger gymnasts and get a great feeling of satisfaction knowing that, in some small way, I have helped them develop their gymnastic skills.

Involvement in Sport:

I first became involved in gymnastics at the age of 9, attending an after school club hosted by Leeds Esprit. I enjoyed it so much that I joined Leeds Esprit and quickly developed the skills allowing me to take part in medal winning regional level competitions. For the first two years I spent just about every day either dancing or at the gym. Eventually, I gave up dancing due to the dedication needed in competitive gymnastics. It was probably due to my passion for dance that my first preference was for the teamgym floor routines.

I began dancing at the age of 3 studying tap and ballet. I would be involved in two seasonal shows a year sometimes having to perform 3 or 4 times in one weekend. Despite the hard work, I loved and continued dancing until 11 years old.

General Sport

At the age of 15 I was chosen as an Ambassador for Sport supported by ADIDAS, representing my High School at local sporting venues & primary schools. I am currently studying BTEC Level 3 in Sport & Exercise Science at college having left high school with a distinction in BTEC Sport.
